Intro Blog
There should be more joy in life, and I believe if we are struggling with an addiction sobriety can help us achieve that joy! This blog is for you if your sober or trying to stay sober. Or if drinking has stopped making everything feel better. The content is from my own experience with alcohol addiction. I believe we can all learn from mistakes made along our journey towards sobriety or worse yet…coming back after a relapse.
My hope is that this blog can be a valuable resource where you can find insight, hope and belief in yourself that you can achieve a happy life. Take it from me someone who has been in an emotional gutter with excessive drinking. Sometimes just the understanding that other people have gone through what you maybe experiencing and now live happy fulfilling lives. Just this alone can be the very thing you need to hear to strengthen your faith that you too can achieve happiness.
I have heard many programs speak of science and science-based approaches. Although I believe they do offer results and can change lives. I like to think of my approach one of helping when science can’t. Or when Science stops having the answers.
The days of people thinking that they can’t or don’t want to get help for their addiction are over. Help is everywhere! Inspirational stories from other addicts are everywhere to be found. We have overcome the odds and, in an effort, to make it easier on those still struggling we provide knowledgeable advice and real options to change their lives.
My name is Neal Linares and I’ve been sober, for over 10 years. Well 12 and a half as of the date of this writing but who’s counting right? One of the first things I want to give you is a video series I created titled 10 biggest mistakes that newcomers make during their first ten years of sobriety – its totally free and you find it in this link https://10mistakes.comfortablyinsane.com. So if you are just starting out this can help you avoid some common crucial mistakes. The free videos will help teach you what to avoid with tips on how to overcome tough times as well as setting the right expectations of getting and staying sober.
A short while back I thought there were two options in life: being a miserable drunk vs miserable in sobriety but now I have discovered that there are so many more options. Life is beautiful and I want it to be beautiful for you as well.
This is a message for those who are sober and want to stay that way or for those trying to stay sober. Also, for those dealing with a loved ones that are in the throes of addiction. It’s not easy, but you can do it! In the coming blogs I will share my story in depth but also will give you many thoughts how and why life has gotten better. 🙂
I’ll see ya soon guys; take care until next time – bye
